Hip Hop News: Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel Accepts Plea Deal To Serve Seven Year Sentence
Bobby Shmurda and two GS9 co-defendants, Chad “rowdy rebel” Marshall and Nicholas McCoy, accepted a plea deal from the prosecution in a court hearing today, agreeing to serve seven years in prison rather than risk trial, which had been shcefuled to begin Monday.
Under the deal, Shmurda pled guilty to 4th degree conspiracy, which carries a sentence of 1-3 years, and 2nd degree criminal weapons possession, which carries a sentence of 7 years. The two will be allowed to run concurrently, meaning the young rapper will face a maximum of 7 years in prison.
The three accepted a global plea deal, meaning that the offer would only be on the table if all accepted the deal. After tense negotiations with their attorneys, the deal was accepted.
